Inside Middletown Schools: My View: Chorley Elementary School needs to be preserved

This is a My View by Jay DiLorenzo, President of the Preservation League of New York State, making a compelling argument for why Chorley Elementary School should be preserved.

Mission Statement

The mission of the blog "Inside Middletown Schools" is to provide alternative points of view and additional information about the Middletown, N.Y. School District to the public. Currently, Dr. Eastwood, superintendent, the current board majority, and the Middletown Times Herald Record control the content, interpretation, and the flow of information to the public. Within the school district, opposing points of view are stifled, dissent repressed, and the information given to the public restricted. The primary purpose of this blog is to rectify this situation and to critique, augment, and clarify the information provided by the district and by the press to the public.

In accordance with New York State Law, board members who participate in this blog recognize that the information presented in executive session must be kept confidential. The views expressed on the blog are solely the view of the author, and do not represent the official views of the Board of Education, District nor necessarily other blog contributors. At the discretion of the author, blogs may be signed or posted unsigned. The placement of blogs on the site is at the total discretion of the site originators. The hope is that the public will find the blog both informative and insightful.
